What is Wrist Tendinopathy?

Tendinopathy is the name given to an injury of a tendon, the tough fibre that connects muscles to bones. Tendinopathies can occur in any tendon of the body and are typically caused by repetitive microtrauma and overuse. Tendinopathies are common injuries associated with the wrist. They typically present as pain over the tendon in question with possible swelling, and an increase in pain as the tendon is placed in a position of stretch.
